“Eigengrau”

This series is in-progress at the moment. The term “eigengrau” (pronounced eye-gan-growl) refers to the shade of dark grey that is seen in the absence of light when eyes are closed. This series-in-progress focuses on the physiological and symbolic manifestation of this concept.

Stress is able to manifest in both a physiological and psychological manner. This body of work explores this relationship by visually depicting  the influence of what stress feels like from both a symbolic and physical perspective – my interpretation of how stress has manifested in my life.
